Tofu, also know as soya bean curd, is produced from soya beans in a natural
process similar to cheese making. It was the Chinese, some 2000 years ago who
recognised the soya bean as a 'wonderfood'. Today it plays a major role as a
staple
protein food for millions.
Tofu is a highly versatile product which can be flavoured, diced, sliced and
pureed. In addition, as an an ingredient it offers texture and readily absorbs
whatever flavourings it is mixed with and can be applied to a variety of
products
formats.
