Myco-protein

Myco-protein is a unique organism which is a member of the fungus family and is used to manufacture the Quorn range of products. The myco-protein is grown by fermentation, similar to the process used to make products such as yoghurt. When harvested myco-protein looks like bread dough and consists of many tiny fibres which resemble the texture of meat fibres.

Myco-protein is naturally low in fat, a good source of protein and fibre, and cholesterol free, making it ideal for the manufacture of meat-free products.
