Many people might consider vegetarianism a recent dietary trend resulting from
changing lifestyles and ethical concerns, but in reality the concept of a
vegetarian diet and lifestyle can be traced back through history to the days of
Ancient
Greece and Rome. This section gives a brief overview of key developments in
vegetarianism from this period of ancient history right up to the present day.
